We will teach your dog to be reliable with his/her commands on leash. In this program your dog will live in my home, have plenty of room to run, and get around the clock training. You can even add play time if you like to get your dog socialized with other dogs. We will teach your dog a sit stay, down stay, climb or place command, how to walk nicely on a leash, to automatically sit when you stop walking and to come. You will be updated with a weekly phone call and lots of pictures posted on Facebook. We keep your dog with us for a minimum of two weeks. This is the average time it will take to teach your dog, some dogs may have to stay a little longer. When your dog is ready to go home we bring him back to your home and have an hour long go home lesson with you to help get the dog adjusted back to doing the things he’s learned in your home. I also send a report card and an “Everything to Remember” sheet home with you. We charge $250 per week for training and a $25 boarding fee per night. The total program cost is $350 per week.

Do you have a dog that is already trained to your standards but you need a little socializing help? We do that! It doesn’t matter if your dog is fearful or aggressive towards other dogs or humans our trainers have the tools to improve this. For this program we ask your dog stay with us for a minimum of three days but can stay as long as you like. This program is great when going on vacation.  If your dog or puppy needs help be socialized with people I will use people that our trained to properly interact with your dog and approach in a polite manner until I see the dog improving then I will take your dog to public places and ask people to pet your dogs in a polite manner. If your dog or puppy needs help interacting with other dogs I will introduce then one at a time to one of Bright Star K-9’s six dogs. After they are all comfortable with all six I will take them to meet other dogs. Our goal is to get your dog interacting nicely with all other dogs and humans. The price of  this program is $50 dollars a day this includes boarding fees. Do this program without boarding for $35 a day. 

Kimberly our head trainer specializes in puppy imprinting and training. She offers a service where she helps you find the perfect puppy for you or takes a puppy your have already found to live with her for 3 months. This program is great for a family that really wants a dog but doesn't want to deal with potty training, chewing, and jumping of a puppy. You will get your puppy back house and crate trained. Also your puppy will come back knowing a sit stay, down stay, climb or place command, how to walk nicely on a leash, automatically sit when you stop walking and to come when called. Also your puppy will not bite or jump on people. You will get plenty of updates on your puppy and lots of pictures and videos. This program cost is $2,000 plus the price of your puppy. This program is great for anyone looking to get their puppy into service dog, competitive, police, or search and rescue work.

All the collars will be explained to you during your free evaluation. We’ll set up a meeting and talk about what you’re looking for in a dog, if you want a puppy or an older dog and if you want to buy from a breeder or adopt. Our wide connections to breeders and rescues will make it easy for you to buy from the right place. This service costs $100 for me to locate the right breeder for you but only $50 if you choose to adopt. This cost of the dog or puppy is also paid by you. If you would like a trainer to go with you to help pick the perfect one for you out of the litter that can be arranged just ask!
